Our Cellar Door Tastings
As your drive up to Mount Broke Wines you pass through
a gateway marked "Harrowby" and over a cattle grid. This marks
the entrance to the McNamara family farm, bought as a thriving dairy
farm in 1905 and operated as such until the early 1990s. When dairy
farming went into decline the family decided to switch to wine grape
growing and out of the 1000 acres of farm, the best 20 were selected for
a vineyard.
The old milking shed was converted to our tasting room with
the vines running right up to the cellar door. By chance the
building was built to take in the view across the vineyard and
down to Wollombi Brook, although the view the other way up to
Mount Broke itself is just as good!
Tastings of our wines are available every
Friday, Saturday
& Sunday as well as other days by appointment. We are open
from 10am until 5pm on these days. The coffee machine is always
on! Look for the big orange flags at the corner of Adams Peak Road
- if the flags are flying, we are in.

As well as wine tastings we also offer tastings of a
range of local deli products - Broke is home to around
30,000 olive trees so we source some fantastic Extra Virgin
and flavoured olive oils, we make our own marinated olives
from trees on the property and our neighbours, plus our own
relishes and preserves

The courtyard at the front of the tasting room is the venue
for many a long leisurely picnic lunch and we invite visitors to
bring their own picnic or barbecue and make use of our facilities
- please give us a ring first: we love to see the area being
used!
As well as wine and deli products we also have
tea & espresso
coffee, soft drinks, beer, cheeses and can arrange lunches for
groups.
